Troux preps September launch

Troux 7 Enterprise Architecture platform features improved "what if" modelling capabilities

IT governance software specialist Troux Technologies has confirmed it is on track for a September launch of the latest version of its Enterprise Architecture design and management platform.

James Rogers, chief strategy officer at the company, said that Troux 7 features new functionality that provides enhanced scenario and “what if” modelling capabilities that could be applied across a firm's enterprise architecture and IT project planning processes.

Rogers added that the new suite also boasts enhanced business intelligence reporting capabilities designed to provide IT managers with greater visibility over their IT infrastructure.

"We will provide a next generation of apps and solutions on top of the platform designed to give users more visibility and get information quicker on which parts of the infrastructure they can rationalise, where they have diverged from agreed standards and whether or not they can deploy new products or services easily," said Rogers.

Rogers added that a lack of visibility over IT infrastructure remains a common problem at large firms, citing one recent customer than deployed Troux's technology only to find it was running several different versions of Linux across its infrastructure in violation of the company's internal policies.

The updated platform is expected to be launched in late September with Troux considering releasing it at the upcoming Gartner Enterprise Architecture Summit in Europe.
