ODPM deal to revamp its IT
£30m five-year contract includes managed service for 3000 staff
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) has signed a £30m contract with Steria for infrastructure development to underpin the department’s business change programme.
The five-year deal includes a managed IT service for more than 3,000 ODPM staff in multiple sites across the country, and the creation of a new Microsoft Exchange-based infrastructure.
The department will work with Steria to identify where IT could boost efficiency. Early projects include an electronic document and records management system, to be piloted by 300 users in the ODPM’s information management directorate.
