Partners in IT unveils subscription-based service
Service management specialist launches per user licensing model for Itil-based services
IT services consultancy Partners in IT yesterday launched a new subscription-based managed service aimed at providing firms with more affordable and flexible service desk and IT management capabilities.
The company said the new offering would allow firms to buy service desk, event monitoring, asset management and key performance indicator reporting-based managed services on a fixed annual cost and per user licence.
Paul Cash, managing director of Partners in IT, said that the new services are based on Itil best practices and HP service desk and IT management software. He added that the new licensing model would make it easier for smaller firms to access simple service management capabilities, such as call logging for example, and then evolve the service as their requirements or budgets expand.
"By taking a subscription-led approach, companies can be specific about the precise needs and requirements they have and purchase the use of those specific applications only," Cash said. "This means smaller companies, or those with tighter budgets, can potentially take advantage of the same enterprise-class solutions available to large companies but at an entry level cost."
