Mizuho International Bank measures its performance
London investment arm of international bank implements intellingent reporting software
Mizuho International Bank, the London-based investment banking arm of the Mizuho Financial Group, has implemented performance management software and cut monthly reporting time by a third.
The software provided by OutlookSoft Corporation manages Mizuho’s financial, budget and operational reporting.
The implementation has reduced the annual budgeting process by 25 per cent from eight to six weeks and monthly reporting time by 33 per cent to just two weeks.
Before the implementation Mizuho International Bank was producing its budgeting and financial reporting from basic Excel spreadsheet.
The new system was fully integrated with Mizuho’s existing Blowfish encryption tool after the ten week implementation.
The compatibility of the system with the existing IT infrastructure enabled the Bank to comply with critical security policies set forth by Mizuho’s risk control department to protect employee salary data.
Jason Ralph, head of management reporting at Mizuho International Investment Bank says the bank was looking for a tailored solution.
‘A generic solution would mean retraining employees and changing existing processes,’ said Ralph.
‘We needed the performance management software to work with our Blowfish encryption tool,’ he said.
