Europe's travellers favour biometrics
Four in five would give fingerprint or iris scans for faster border crossings, says survey
More than four in five European travelers are in favour of biometric scans to speed up border crossings, says a survey.
French respondents were most accepting of the new technology, with 92 per cent happy to have a fingerprint or iris scanned when traveling abroad, says a survey of 500 people from across Europe by Vason Bourne on behalf of LogicaCMG.
Nearly three-quarters of respondents said they would feel more secure using a biometric identity card to pay for goods abroad, says the survey.
