Manchester airport tracks bus movements
Airside buses monitored to prove efficiency of airport's service-level agreements
Airside buses at Manchester are to be tracked more carefully
Manchester Airport is using a new system to precisely record the movements of its airside buses.
On-board computers transmit information back to airport staff on the time and position of each bus when passengers board and disembark.
The system from In-CarPC helps the airport prove that service-level agreements with the airlines have been met.
"The system was extremely reliable, and we found the company very quick to respond to our needs," said Christina Kelly, operations manager from the airport’s Bus Transport Department.
