Businesses look to green video
Communications technology is dissolving the borders of European enterprise
European businesses are using VoIP
Nearly two thirds (65 per cent) of European businesses are reducing their carbon footprint through the use of video conferencing, according to research.
Uptake of voice over IP (VoIP) across the continent has also grown by 20 per cent since 2000, as companies seek to embrace new communication tools. Almost half of UK businesses used VoIP in 2007.
Such changes in the forms of communication lead British heads of business to believe their work environment is changing. Over 80 per cent of UK enterprise leaders feel there is a borderless business culture across Europe, compared with 70 per cent of managers from other countries.
