TV Anywhere for £99

Hauppauge Digital's tiny USB2 device creates a TV and digital video recorder and can deliver content to any device

Hauppauge Digital is offering the ability to record television and watch it on a mobile phone, PDA or laptop via its new £99 TV Anywhere product.

TV Anywhere includes a tiny WinTV PVR USB2 device that when plugged into a home PC and an aerial can create a TV and digital video recorder, said the vendor. Once content is saved – TV Anywhere can also serve photos and MP3 files – TV Anywhere’s software can deliver it to any device anywhere in the world over a broadband connection.

It is device-agnostic, working on any mobile phone with IE, or any Mac, PC or Wi-Fi PDA - all users will require is a browser and Media Player, according to the firm.

"Appointment TV is dying," said Yehia Oweiss, UK managing director of Hauppauge Digital. "People are recording more and more TV and watching what they want, when they want.”
