Intel raises forecast for third quarter figures
Revenue for the three-month period may reach £4.83bn
Better-than-expected sales have boosted Intel's predictions
Chip giant Intel has raised revenue predictions for the third quarter of 2007 by $400m (£197m) following an increase in worldwide sales.
The corporation now expects revenue in the range of $9.4bn (£4.63bn) to $9.8bn (£4.83bn), rather than the $9.0bn (£4.44bn) to $9.6bn (£4.73bn) previously suggested.
Intel's results for the third quarter are due to be published on October 16.
