Blacks Leisure dresses up its web sites
New functions improve online experience for customers
Outdoor retailer Blacks Leisure has implemented browse, search and merchandising functions on its web sites to encourage more visitors to purchase online.
The leisure equipment and clothing chain, which includes Blacks and Millets, allows customers to find, select and buy products online more easily.
The new design and functionality is already available at the Blacks' web site and Millets will follow next month.
The firm has replaced Conchango as its strategic ecommerce partner with e-InBusiness, who implemented the new functions that are based on Mercado technology. It has also redesigned the five key shopping pages of the site.
Blacks business development director David Kohn says the aim is to improve the customer’s buying experience to ultimately increase its online business.
‘We refreshed our web sites using our existing e-commerce platform, Commerce Server,’ he said. ‘We felt improving the search, navigation and merchandising on our web site, as well as the aesthetic look of the site, was critical to our future success.
‘By protecting our investment in our infrastructure, e-InBusiness has delivered an extremely cost-effective project that will provide a far superior user experience for our customers and boost online sales.’
Kohn says e-InBusiness supplied best of breed technology, strong creative skills and a hands-on online retail experience.
