Datanomic revs data cleansing

Datanomic's DN:Director, features an enhanced user interface and improved functionality

Data cleansing specialist Datanomic will today unveil DN:Director, a new data quality management suite featuring an enhanced user interface and improved functionality to identify inaccurate or duplicated information.

Steve Tuck, chief strategy officer at Datanomic, said the new system would give firms a single point from which to manage data quality. “Previously, data cleansing has been a fragmented market with firms having to buy different ETL [extraction, transport and loading], matching and cleansing tools and integrate them together,” he said.

Tuck added that the new user interface lets business staff and IT administrators build data cleansing rules to govern the way data is input and existing data is cleansed.

Demand for data quality management systems is expected to grow over the next few years as companies try to reduce customer turnover by ensuring data held in ERP and CRM systems is accurate.
