Online insurer to recruit IT analysts
Customer-facing application maintainence skills needed to safeguard business delivery
Online insurer Esure is looking to recruit production support analysts for its IT service delivery team to improve the availability of internet services.
Two new employees are sought to monitor web and call centre-related IT systems vital to the company’s customer strategy, alongside other general and IT recruitment needs.
Edward Lucas, Esure service delivery manager, says a range of web and call centre applications are used to manage and maintain customer-facing channels, and new employees will need to have in-depth knowledge of common customer relationship management applications.
‘The recruits will be responsible for monitoring the results of our overnight batch processes and the performance of our call centre and web applications during the day,’ said Lucas.
‘Esure has more than 1,500 call centre users and a range of web applications, so it is vital that availability is maximised by proactive monitoring, to detect any potential problems before they escalate,’ he added.
Lucas says new staff will be given the opportunity to move up in the company.
‘They will be responsible for a number of important tasks, so there will be good opportunities for them to progress through their involvement in upgrading system software, for instance,’
he said. ‘The successful recruits will become key players in determining the technical direction of their roles within the company.’
He also says the analysts will learn new skills to keep abreast of proposed or approved new project initiatives.
