BP extends petrol station outsourcing deal

Energy giant's retail transaction processing will be managed by Atos Worldline

BP has extended its contract with Atos Worldline, after 17 years of successful supply

BP has awarded an extended contract for outsourcing its transaction processing services at petrol stations.

The deal, covering a range of payment options including loyalty cards and vouchers, has been awarded to Atos Origin subsidiary Atos Worldline, which has been providing similar services to BP for 17 years.

Atos Worldline was selected for its understanding of BP's agenda, said Robert Mikan, IT manager retail at BP, Milton Keynes.

"The staff are flexible, responsive and clearly understand our business needs and priorities, particularly the need to provide excellent service to our retailers," he said.

"As a technology partner, they have demonstrated their ability to design, build, implement, host and support solutions to BP’s requirements.”

Services will include downloads and transfers of customer loyalty data and the polling of financial data.
