Microsoft has released a new version of its Embedded technology, boasting of many new features
Microsoft has released the 'next generation' of its Windows XP Embedded technology, promising new features and a much richer user experience.
Windows Embedded Standard 2009 has been designed with device manufacturers in mind, letting them, the firm said, quickly build devices that easily connect with enterprise infrastructures.
Microsoft said that the new features, and enhancements fall into three camps, support for its Silverlight cross browser plug-in, new media services – built around Media Player 11, IE7 and the .NET framework, and network access protection, or NAP.
