ThoughtWorks eases project collaboration

Mingle 2.0 aims to improve global collaboration projects across enterprises

Software development tools vendor ThoughtWorks Studios has launched a new version of its global collaboration and project management product, Mingle, promising to simplify globally distributed projects and help bind IT and business functions.

Mingle 2.0 includes a new Card Trees feature which allows project managers to break down project tasks into hierarchies for easier management, according to the firm.

There are also APIs and plug-ins to ensure Mingle integrates with existing infrastructure, and granular cross-project reporting functionality, said ThoughtWorks.

"Mingle’s flexibility has allowed us to track and organise resource allocation, as well as prioritise and execute all our work from defects to high-level business initiatives," said Stephen Brown, director of International Online Operations at online marketplace OVE.com, in a statement.

"The 2.0 release will allow us the ability to further link and connect the dots, keeping the business engaged at all levels of the organisation."
