Telegraph selects Cordys platform to orchestrate cloud apps

Telegraph Media Group is using the Cordys platform for cloud apps

Telegraph Media Group, home of The Daily Telegraph, has selected technology from Cordys to orchestrate its cloud services and applications.

The Cordys Process Factory solution will help the group compose situational applications, also known as MashApps, to instantly meet specific business needs across its IT infrastructure.

The group has already deployed multiple software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications and Google Apps, which its said would free up a significant chunk of the IT budget that was previously allocated to maintenance and support.

The group said the Cordys platform would help it link these applications by creating processes and applications that spanned them without having to invest any further significant IT resources.

“By making greater use of cloud platforms for back-office IT and revenue generating products and services we are now on target to reach our goal of having the majority of our resources focused on technology and business transformation projects,” said Toby Wright, CTO at Telegraph Media Group.

Cordys said that it will give Telegraph Media Group the ability to rapidly create processes and applications in the cloud across all of its SaaS applications, with very low development costs.
