Corus CIO leaves the company

After six years and an extensive transformation programme

Corus CIO Bruno Laquet has left the company after six years

Bruno Laquet has left Corus after six years as chief information officer (CIO) of the steel manufacturer.

Laquet had been responsible for a transformation project that included standardising business processes on an SAP software platform – the project was completed last month.

Laquet has taken on the role of CIO of the international exams group Cambridge Assessment, where he will be responsible for information management systems and logistics across more than 150 countries.

Corus does not plan to replace Laquet directly as the Corus IT operations have been consolidated into Tata Steel Group, under head of IT Shreekant Mokashi in India.

The company plans to appoint a deputy CIO for Europe in the near future.
