Monarch tests new web applications

Airline and tour operator wants to improve customer service

Monarch improves web site performance

Monarch Travel Group, which includes airline Monarch Airlines and tour operator Cosmos, is testing software to ensure new web applications are working as they should.

The two businesses are investing in new web applicationssuch real time news, flight and holiday deals, to improve the experience of its customers.

Both Monarch and Cosmos are using Empirix’s e-test suite to test the applications and ensure they are working adequately.

‘The web is still the fastest growing distribution channel and critically important to both the business and our customers,’ said Monarch group head of IT development, Laurie Diffey.

‘When browsing a web site or making a booking, customers expect the process to be seamless and stress-free. The testing has been a major factor in improving reliability, performance and confidence in the web sites.’

The two companies will also employ the managed testing service, e-LoadExpert, to test the performance and scalability of their web applications under heavy user load.

It also monitors the performance of back-end application infrastructure to identify bottlenecks and help tune application performance, ensuring transactions are completed quickly and accurately.
