Microsoft bags Seinfeld for ad campaign
Comedian in turn bags $10m to promote software
Bill Gates will appear alongside the famous comedian
Microsoft has signed US comedian Jerry Seinfeld as it attempts to rebrand itself as cool.
Traditionally cast as dull and decidedly uncool by rival Apple, Microsoft recently hired a new advertising agency and is planning a $300m (£153m) ad campaign.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Seinfeld will appear in ads alongside Bill Gates and will pick up $10m (£5.4m) for his trouble.
