University of Central Lancashire is offering a virtual day to students via Apple's iPhone
The University of Central Lancashire is attempting to reach out to potential students by launching its first Virtual Open Day.
The Virtual Open Day takes the form of an iPhone application, and will be available to download via iTunes. The university said that the app is fully interactive and will give students with the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of the campus, viewing all the university facilities en-route.
The app also offers an events and information calendar which contains contact and transport information as well as listings for all the events organised by the University.
In 2009, the university launched its own featured iPhone application, with a service that provided students and staff with the latest information from the Student Union, entertainment listings and maps of the university campus and Preston City Centre.
