HumanConcepts updates HR suite
OrgPlus Enterprise 3.0 will make it easier for executives to visualise, model and change organisational structures, according to the company
Workforce management and modelling software specialist HumanConcepts announced a major update to its flagship OrgPlus suite yesterday featuring an enhanced graphical interface, tighter integration with SAP and improved change management functionality.
Unveiled at the SAP Sapphire user conference in Atlanta, the company said OrgPlus Enterprise 3.0 will make it easier for executives to visualise, model and change organisational structures.
In particular, the company said that enhanced charts capable of presenting complex management structures, new directories covering related non-employee information such as conference rooms or facilities, and improved PowerPoint and PDF publishing would make it easier for executives to keep track of organisational structures and spot workforce issues, such as resource shortages or conflicting reporting lines.
Martin Sacks, chief executive of HumanConcepts, said that the new optional change management module will also make it easier for employees to communicate information about changes in organisational structures or employee status.
The module works by allowing employees to submit change requests when HR data has changed or is inaccurate. The request then enters a workflow process where it can be approved by an administrator. Allowing employees this self-service functionality significantly improves data accuracy, according to HumanConcepts.
"There has been significant interest in the ability to collect and write back information gathered from the employee community, which is often socialised for the first time in organisations through the organisational chart," said Sacks.
