Brighton rocks with web 2.0 advice at d.Construct

September's d.Construct event will include technical workshops and speakers from the industry giants

Next month Brighton will host d.Construct 2006, an event examining how the web is advancing so that as well as serving documents it provides other useful applications.

Sponsored by Madgex, a business-to-business web site developer, d.Construct 2006 on Friday 8 September will feature speakers including Yahoo’s Paul Hammond and Simon Willison, Jeffrey Veen from Google, Derek Featherstone, an author and technical trainer, and Jeff Barr from Amazon.

Glenn Jones, creative director at Madgex, said, “The web development industry is unique in the way that it shares ideas. This is one of the web industry’s best grassroots events and we’re pleased to be so closely associated with it in 2006.”

The event includes sessions on using web services for both fun and profit, how to use APIs efficiently, coding with Flex 2.0 and how to create accessible web applications. D.Construct is currently sold out, but IT Week will be attending and reporting on the event.
