Barclaycard launches account management facility

Service aims to make it easier to monitor and manage accounts

Barclaycard is enhancing its mobile banking capabilities

Barclaycard has launched an online account management system for its UK customers.

The new service, which follows on the heels of the bank’s web site revamp after trials involving 20,000 customers, enables actions such as balance transfers, as well as direct debit and credit limit management.

Dubbed Mybarclaycard, the service features a simple, yet secure, log-in process. Other features include the ability to display spending details by category, which will help customers monitor spending patterns, while filtering and searching tools make it easier to trace and confirm transactions.

“Mybarclaycard is set to be the UK’s leading online account servicing web site. It will make our customers' lives a little easier by providing them with the control to better track and manage their spending with Barclaycard,” said the firm’s UK chief executive, Amer Sajed.

“I’m delighted by the feedback we’ve already received from the thousands of customers who have helped us develop this new site and I’m convinced that all our customers will find at least some of the new facilities helpful and useful.”
