Fujitsu Siemens profit up £7m
but revenue dips two per cent to £2bn
Fujitsu Siemens' pre-tax profit was £10m in the first half of the year
Pre-tax profit for computer company Fujitsu Siemens leapt €10m (£7m) to €14m (£10m) during the first half of the fiscal year.
Operational profit increased 11 per cent to €20m (£14m) while revenue was €3bn (£2bn), down two per cent from 2006.
"We achieved our goal of strengthening profit before tax and operational profit," said chief executive Bernd Bischoff.
"I am proud that we accomplished this while taking strategic decisions to focus on managed services as well as our realignment efforts in the consumer area, even though this had an effect on our short-term performance."
Fujitsu Siemens predicts stronger revenue and profit growth for the second half of the year, due to increased demand in the IT sector.
