Fujitsu Services reports record orders

Company's annual sales increase to £2.5bn

Fujitsu Services has reported a rise in annual sales

Fujitsu Services has seen a solid, if unspectacular, rise in annual sales of four per cent to £2.5bn.

But it says orders for the coming year are at record levels, up from £6.5bn last year to £6.6bn, while profits have increased 12 per cent to £163m.

Its performance lags behind western IT rivals such as Accenture and Indra, who have reported double digit growth in the past year, but are ahead of Atos Origin.

Fujitsu Services’ chief executive David Courtley says it is looking to expand beyond its traditional UK government market into new commercial sectors and into Central Europe.

‘We have progressed our European expansion ambitions (including) significant organic growth through our major clients such as KLM in Holland and Servicio Andaluz de Salud in Spain,’ Courtley said.
