Employment and skills body opts for hosted servers
Managed servers improve flexibility and accomodate growth at the UK Commission for Employment and Skills
Managed web server hosting for skills and employment organisation
The UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) is using two managed servers to host its website.
IT supplier Kingston Communications is running a front-end web server and a database server hosted at its London facility. It also provides a 100MB link to the internet, firewall protection and support.
UKCES needed a system that would allow for future development, said Kevin Pyatt, head of IT.
“It was important that the supplier we selected was able to provide a flexible and scaleable solution that could grow alongside the developing requirements of a newly formed organisation."
The UKCES was established on 1 April 2008 to boost UK prosperity and opportunity by improving employment and skills.
