HSBC improves data warehousing

Supplier agreement is the latest phase of the bank's business intelligence strategy

HSBC wants to develop a system to handle increasing data volumes

HSBC Bank has signed an agreement to improve its UK data warehouse system as part of a wider business intelligence strategy.

The bank’s existing data warehousing setup will be redeployed on server technology supplied by Teradata. The process will be carried out by the vendor alongside HSBC’s strategic partner Capgemini.

The plan is focused on delivering an improved system to support the bank's risk management, as well as compliance and growth in data volumes.
