Danone to manage Asda sales data

New system tracks performance of bottled water and dairy brands

Danone has signed a major new contract to provide Epos and sales data management for the sale of its bottled water and fresh dairy brands at retailer Asda.

Danone will use the Crunch and Cipher platform from Decisions Made Easy (DME) to effectively manage and analyse the data of its major retail products, including Evian, Volvic, and Activia, at Asda stores throughout the UK.

It will enable them to improve the effectiveness of its in-store presence at Asda and increase sales and gain insight into current sales.

By generating reports and findings from sales data, Danone can focus on pinpointing areas where changes should be made, eliminate out of stocks and improve in-store presence.

‘The systems will allow our category managers to analyse availability, distribution, promotion compliance, promotional focus and market share within both categories on a daily basis,’ said category strategy manager for dairy brands James King.

‘In turn, it will allow them to provide a greater level of insight to one of our major customers than ever before.'
