CSC expands support centre

Chorley centre provides support for utility firms that have implemented SAP enterprise solutions

CSC has expanded its centre of excellence

IT services firm CSC says it has expanded its centre of excellence in the North West to provide more support for customers for whom it has helped implement SAP solutions.

The expansion of the centre, which provides specialist transitioning and upgrading support for 17,000 utilities employees across the UK, will provide 100 new local jobs on top of the 538 staff who already work there.

CSC has helped utilities such as URENCO, Anglian Water, Sellafield, Magnox, Springfield Fuels, and the Civil Nuclear Constabulary, implement software from SAP, which helps them integrate operations from multiple countries onto one system.

Mark Devonshire, vice president for CSC's UK Energy & Utilities business, said: "CSC is delighted to be supporting the local community through job security and with the opportunity to develop our presence at Chorley through our continued growth."
