VCS Timeless sells to Cegid Group

Retailers set to benefit from extended product portfolio

Calvin Klein is one of VCS Timeless' clients

Retail software specialist VCS Timeless has been acquired by French enterprise management systems provider Cegid Group.

The merger will create a retail software division with a joint portfolio of 1,000 businesses using the systems provided by both companies across 62 countries, 350 staff and a combined revenue of around €45m (£35.2m), 30 per cent of which is generated from the international markets.

The consolidated group intends to use its extended capability to offer merchandise planning and management, supply chain optimisation, store and business intelligence solutions, as well as a range of applications for areas such as manufacturing, sourcing, purchasing, finance and human resources.

Products will be offered using on-demand and software-as-a-service models.

Clients using the group's offerings include toy stores Hamleys and Past Times, leisure group Club Med and clothing manufacturer Calvin Klein.
