Strato launches e-commerce packages
A trio of e-commerce packages allow individuals to set up and manage their own online stores
Web hosting firm Strato has launched a new trio of e-commerce packages designed to enable individuals and firms to easily set up and manage their own online stores.
Strato Webshops come in Basic, Advanced and Premium varieties, the latter coming with 5 domains, and have the capacity to handle 20,000 shop items in 2,000 categories, according to the firm's chief executive, Damian Schmidt.
The Advanced and Premium offerings also come with multilingual capabilities and payment processing via Paypal, HSBC and other systems. All three packages allow the simple creation of your site via 100 easy-to-use design templates and a wizard-based set-up.
"The e-commerce market grew last year by 25 percent but you don't see many small and medium-sized businesses doing their own shop because it is still quite complicated," said Schmidt. "For the shop owner, everything is done on the browser and hosted by high performance servers in our secure datacentre, ensuring you can always do business 24 hours a day."
The Strato Webshops can be integrated with shopping portals, such as Kelkoo, to boost visibility, offer the option of selling your goods on eBay and feature “also-bought” functionality for cross-selling, which can be automated or administered manually.
Security is enhanced at the payment stage with SSL certificates from certification authority Thawte, and for shipping there is an automatic interface with UPS – although other options are also possible – which allows your site to include track and trace functionality.
Strato also celebrated its one-year anniversary in the UK by announcing a special offer. For a limited time only, all of their web hosting packages are available for only £1 + VAT for an entire year.
