Hilton Hotels has hired an experienced IT leader with a transformation background
Hilton Hotels has hired financial services veteran Robert Webb as its chief information officer (CIO).
Formerly an IT leader at credit information firm Equifax, Webb brings experience in systems strategy, enterprise planning and architecture, information security, technology infrastructure and outsourcing.
Prior to joining Equifax, Webb had a stint at General Electric – where he led the IT agenda for GE Commercial Finance, GE Global Consumer Finance and GE Energy Services – and in consulting, at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and EDS.
In his new position, Webb will report to Paul Brown, Hilton’s president of the global brands and commercial service.
"Rob is highly regarded in the information technology field where he has executed key technology transformations at world-class organisations," said Brown.
"With his international experience and success at driving critical initiatives, Rob is a great addition to Hilton's executive team," he said.
