Equifax hires new CIO
Credit firm appoints technology executive with years of banking experience
Consumer credit reporting agency Equifax has hired David Webb as its chief information officer (CIO).
In his new role, Webb has responsibility for the firm’s global IT agenda and the implementation of innovative customer-oriented products and services.
Webb has over two decades of experience in financial services, having worked in sector organisations such as Goldman Sachs and GE Capital.
"Technology lies at the core of our business and customer value proposition, and we view IT as a mission-critical function," said Equifax’s chairman and chief executive Richard Smith.
"David’s leadership and expertise will help take our company to the next level of performance and we are delighted to welcome him to Equifax," he added.
