Dome owners sign three-year deal
The owners of the Millennium Dome have signed a three-year, multimillion-pound partnership deal to develop new technologies at the entertainment venue.
Anschutz Entertainment Group has appointed NEC UK as an official technology partner to provide the latest innovations in security, state-of-the-art digital cinema equipment and data and phone networks at the venue, now known as The O2.
IT director Rene Batsford says The O2 wants an interactive experience for its customers. Plans include a resilient data network, wireless local area network, voice over IP telephony and projection systems.
