Quality control for Wi-Fi voice
Device prepares ground for voice over WLAN deployments.
Wireless specialist AirMagnet predicts more and more firms will deploy voice over wireless LAN (VoWLAN) technology, and has launched a device to help them forecast the performance and quality of calls and pinpoint potential problems.
The AirMagnet VoFi Analyser can monitor VoWLAN calls end-to-end from handset to the network to the IP-PBX, identifying problems such as choppy audio, dropped calls and coverage dead spots, AirMagnet said.
The AirMagnet VoFi Analyzer costs $17,500 (£9,350), and call manager support options are priced from $7,500 (£4,000).
