Saab signs Agresso ERP deal
The cars-to-aircraft manufacturer is adopting new software ahead of changes within the company
The Agresso contract will replace Saab's deals with existing ERP vendors
Aviation and defence company Saab AB has picked Agresso for a single enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool to run across its operations.
The agreement means that Saab will now have common ERP software for finance, reporting and project management replacing several systems previously supplied by different vendors.
“We are ready to take the final step in refining our business solution for the entire corporate group and in all the countries where we have larger operations,” said Görgen Johansson, vice president, business group controller at Saab AB.
"The industry in which we partake is constantly changing. In order to maintain our competitive edge we need a flexible ERP solution that can easily be adapted to new circumstances.”
Saab says that the deal will help to support a number of changes within the company as it moves its business focus towards consumer and military integrated technology. The Swedish organisation has a history of making fighter aircraft but also works in other areas, including the production of communications and surveillance tools.
