Two thirds of senior execs check email on holiday
Research finds three quarters say staying in touch makes returning to work easier
Over two thirds of senior executives check their email on mobile devices when they are on holiday, according to research published this week.
Some 68 per cent of UK bosses take a mobile device on holiday with 46 per cent of these people using a Blackberry, according to a survey by communication consultancy The Aziz Corporation .
Of those managers that check email when on leave from work, 73 per cent only respond to urgent matters.
Three quarters of those questioned (77 per cent) say using remote technology to check emails makes returning to the office easier.
While 82 per cent of executives believe the days of having an uninterrupted break from work are gone, less than half (45 per cent) think the advent of remote technologies have resulted in them working longer hours.
