NCC Group posts strong year-end results

IT assurance and advisory services provider sees revenue up 15 per cent and operating profits rise by 16 per cent

NCC Group posted increase in revenue and profits

NCC Group, which provides IT assurance and advisory services globally, has posted strong earnings results for its 2009/10 fiscal year.

The group recorded revenue of £53.7m, up 15 per cent from last year's £46.8m. In addition, operating profits were up 16 per cent to £14.8m. Total dividend rose by 16 per cent to 10.75p.

The group attributed its success to the consistent delivery of strong organic growth and cash generation since its listing six years ago.

NCC Group has also acquired a number of businesses, which has widened its capabilities in the UK and internationally.

“It’s down to acquiring companies that are a good fit and making sure the timing is right,” Darren Powell, the group’s financial controller, told Computing.

“Ordinarily we aim for two acquisitions each year. This year we acquired two but did so in quick succession because we knew that we could integrate one almost instantly and the other would be manageable too.

"The size of the acquisitions meant that with one big and one small, we could manage the acquisition and integrate them all in one go.”
