Clearswift announces anti-spyware intentions
Content filtering firm Clearswift is to add spyware to its roster of targeted malware
At the Infosecurity event today, email and web content security vendor Clearswift announced it is to extend into the anti-spyware market.
Over the next six months, the firm will be releasing new software in the form of an upgrade to its Mimesweeper for Web software, a Linux appliance and a managed service, according to Clearswift’s chief executive Jon Lee.
“This is an area that is evolving rapidly and we believe we have something significant to add to the debate,” said Lee. “The application [demoed at Infosec] will have the same look and feel and ease of use as our email appliance, but in the spyware arena.”
The new spyware capabilities will include zero day protection, spyware blocking and detection, outbound data protection and reporting tools, according to the firm.
