The Net Zero CIO - how IT leaders should be leading the fight against climate change

Does sustainability really matter to CIOs, and what can they and the broader tech industry do to help in the fight against climate change? Stuart Sumner speaks to IT leaders and sustainability experts to find out

Sustainability has been been top of the news agenda for many years, and its significance is growing as the evidence of climate change becomes more apparent.

However IT leaders have never been in a more exciting, nor more pressured position, especially as the pandemic has made them even more central to business operations. Is there anything they can and should be doing to fight climate change?

Stuart Sumner speaks to sustainability expert Susanne Baker, Associate Director, Climate, Environment and Sustainability at techUK, for her opinions on how organisations and their leaders should change. Technology leaders including Steve Capper, Global CIO of SNC-Lavalin, Christina Scott, CTO of News UK, and David Germain, Group CIO of RSA Insurance, give their views.

These issues and more will be discussed in Computing's Tech Impact Conference, coming in 2022.
