The Women in Tech Excellence Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the efforts and achievements of the women working in all areas of technology.
If you work with women who you think you should be recognised and rewarded - or if you think you deserve some recognition from your peers then we want to hear from you!
The tech workforce has become a little more diverse in recent years, but the gender ratio is proving stubbornly difficult to disrupt. Women are entering tech in slightly larger numbers than they were, but they're often paid less than their male colleagues and are more likely to quit the industry.
There are still far too few women leaders, and women-led ventures are much less likely to be funded than those led by men.
"You can't be what you can't see" is said often about women in tech, and it's true. If girls can't see older girls taking STEM subjects, if their older sisters say computing lessons are ‘boring' and if the small number of women computing graduates can't see any women further up in the industry, then tech will continue to struggle to retain women.
If tech wants more women leaders, it needs to show them what's possible.
The Women in Tech Excellence Awards recognise, celebrate and showcase trail blazing women from across the technology space and provide inspiration for younger women curious about building a career in our industry.
The awards promote talented women at all stages of their career from Graduate of the Year all the way up to Technology Leader of the Year. Other categories inlcude Role Model, Engineer and Transformation Leader of the Year.
There are also two new categories for 2024 - Emerging Tech Champion and Founder/Enterpeneur of the Year!
Winners will be announced at an exclusive awards ceremony on Wednesday 27th November at the Hilton Park Lane, London - a glittering celebration of inspirational women in tech. Not only is it a fantastic night out, we also publish videos, galleries and articles on Computing which boost the profile of finalists and winners.
