We’re excited to announce that the agenda for the Cybersecurity Festival 2025 is now live, and we’ve brought together some of the sharpest minds in the industry – and a former FBI agent – to tackle today’s most pressing challenges.

This year, our focus has been the human side of cybersecurity, with sessions about building everyday resilience, improving employee compliance and creating a supportive environment. Other sessions discuss negotiating budgets, combating deepfakes and disinformation, and top tips on protecting your systems and data.

The 2025 Agenda

The day will begin with an opening address from our Editor, Tom Allen. Next up is John Leonard, kicking off the event with exclusive insights from Computing research into why we so easily fall victim to phishing.

Following that, former Security Excellence Awards winner and threat intelligence expert at Counter Threat, Rebecca Taylor, will discuss why cybersecurity begins at home. She'll explain how strong personal security habits are the foundation of business resilience.

Throughout the day, there will be ample opportunities to network with peers and experts, while exploring the latest cybersecurity innovations at our exhibit stands. You’ll also have the chance to engage with vendors during our boardroom appointments, where you'll hear about new products and provide valuable feedback.

Later in the day, Computing’s Penny Horwood and experienced CIO Benjamin Rowe will lead a fireside chat on empowering employees, integrating secure processes, and making cybersecurity a manageable challenge for any organisation.

Following Penny and Ben, experts from Goodlord, The Meliore Foundation and Save the Children will discuss how to secure larger cybersecurity budgets and allocate them effectively in a panel discussion.

Soon after, Felicity March, Accenture’s MD, explores AI’s impact on cybersecurity, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges it presents.

To wrap up the event, Greg van der Gaast – former hacker, FBI agent and CISO – will give an inside look into the mind of a hacker, revealing the tactics and motivations behind cyberattacks and offering strategies to outsmart them.
