BT last week announced it will launch three new Ethernet services nationally this summer. But the firm's chief technology officer, Matt Bross, played down talk of competition between Ethernet and IP/MPLS services, saying, "Both are essential."
Sandra O’Boyle of analyst firm Current Analysis agreed with this assessment. “I don’t see it as a battle [between the two types of service], yet, anyway. They still complement each other,” she said...
