UK to accelerate move to 10 Gigabit Ethernet

Most UK firms are willing to deploy copper-based 10Gbit/s cabling based on the forthcoming 802.3an standard at an early stage, according to research published last week. The standard is due to be ratified by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in July 2006.
