BT launched what it said is the world's first combined fixed and mobile phone service last week, allowing customers to use a mobile handset to call UK landlines at 5.5p for up to an hour off-peak and at 3p per minute at peak times, when routed through a BT Bluetooth/Wi-Fi hub on users' premises.
