Students at the University of Central England in Birmingham are studying Computing to help prepare them for the outside world. Each week, 61 second-year students on the IT Environment module answer a 10-question test on Computing's content. The module is part of the BA Business Administration, the BA business studies and the BA Marketing degrees at the university."Computing covers up-to-date IT issues which are very relevant to business students. It's how I keep in touch with the industry," said Sukhdev Dhesi, senior lecturer at the university's business school."This way undergraduates have a better understanding of the IT environment. They're going to be the future IT managers, and in making purchasing decisions, they'll be able to hold their own instead of going in blind."
