Wat-er name to choose

It really has been too long since we have heard from our regular correspondents at BAE Systems, who used to be in touch most weeks with stories of amusing management cock-ups. We can only speculate that it's political correctness gone mad, or else the sorts of subject lines we used to see don't make it through the spam filter these days.
But we are reassured by ex-employees such as Rich Roberts emailing us, on this occasion with stories of project abbreviations.

"While working at BAE Systems Underwater Weapons, I produced
a nifty piece of software to allow information to be displayed from torpedoes that had been used for in-water trials," he recalls.

"Naturally, I called this wonderful software the 'Trials Weapon Analysis Tool'." Maybe some current employees could drop us a line. We worry about you, you know.
