Samsung has developed what it claims are the world's smallest Flash-based portable digital audio players.
The YP-T5H and the YP-T5V are the latest addition to the company's established YEPP Digital Audio Player line.
The players are compatible with MP3, WMA, WAV and feature a built-in FM tuner and voice recording capability.
Housed in a 23 x 54 x 23 mm case, and weighing 24g without battery, both models also double as removable storage devices that offer file transfer with a direct USB adapter. One AAA battery is estimated to provide up to 15 hours of playback.
Mark Farish, marketing manager at Samsung Electronics America, said in a statement: "Both of these flash-memory players are designed for consumers who want an easy way to organise and manage their digital music collections in a small, stylish package that delivers higher quality audio playback typically lost with compressed audio files.
"The ability to double as a multi-file storage device is an added benefit for those who wish to take presentations, homework or even images with them in addition to their music."
