Infrastructure services provider Computacenter saw its profits before tax increase by 22.4 per cent to £48.4m for the year to 31 December 2009, up from £39.5m last year.
Revenues, however, were down by 2.2 per cent to £2.5bn from £2.56bn in 2008.
Computacenter chief executive Mike Norris said the increase in the group’s annual service contract base was clear evidence that customers are turning to Computacenter to help them reduce their operating costs.
"As a result we expect steady revenue growth in 2010, even though the economic climate across Europe is still fragile," added Norris.
Computacenter has undergone a restructuring exercise recently, with Computacenter Distribution, its trade distribution division, being sold last year to technology distributor Ingram Micro.
