UK adult exhibition Erotica has cut ticket printing costs for 80,000 visitors.
The three-day show had problems with long queues and visitors who had not pre-booked, prompting organisers to invest in a digital printer from Toshiba using software from Avapac which can print 100,000 tickets in an overnight run.
“Some 30 to 50,000 customers do not pre-book, so we need to be able to print a large proportion of tickets at the show.” said Chris Christodolu, planning manager at Erotica. ‘This process used to cause long queues. Using the Toshiba solution, we were amazed at the improved speed of entry especially at busy periods. We were also impressed by the quality and professional look of the tickets – perfect for the image of the Erotica.”
Entry costs to the show meant the organisers were targeted by forgers, which has been countered by the introduction of a thermal imaging function.
